On December 2, 1972, the first Erker meeting, hosted by the gallery of the same name in St. Gallen, took place in Hagenwil Castle, Switzerland: A meeting of famous contemporary artists with no less famous authors and friends of the Erker Gallery, made possible by the charisma of its founder, Franz Larese. For each of the four artist meetings on Lake Constance, a limited edition portfolio was subsequently published, with the works developed there jointly between writers and performing artists.
