Märkisch, Sven: Gedichte für Kinder
Ossip Mandelstam retreated into exile under Stalin. In 1926 he wrote the cycle of children's poems "The Two Trams" with impetuous humor and clever irony.
Elke Erb translated the poems literally. This conveys a stubborn incompleteness, which initially seems strange, but then opens up a peculiar depth. Each of the poems has its own small bilingual book and a CD, on which the Russian poems can be heard with instructions on how to pronounce Russian.
