Gunnesch, Stefan: Etwas, das die Erinnerung umrandet. Something that frames the memory. The book—consisting of three main parts—tries to transfer the property of the childhood home on the pages. The first part pays attention to the front yard, the second to the house itself and the third to the back garden and yard. The walls and borderlines are noticeable as embossed creases; they highlight places, rooms and ways. Words—collected like an inventory list—display the trial of remembrance, of returning. The main text on these white pages thematises the private memory and imagines a pass through those past places of childhood.

The backside of each book contrasts with displaying quotes which reflect the memory from an outside view on another level.
Visually transcriptions as well as subscriptions refer to special places and experiences but give the viewer enough space to reminisce themselves back to another place.
Completely unfold, the three books become a map which—placed next to each other—show the whole floor plan.

The book includes unique graphics on transparent paper which merge memory objects into a memory collage.
