Gunnesch, Stefan: Simplicité In his book “Atlas”, Michel Serres speaks of simplicity (simplicité) and how it creates a fold (pli) out of itself. How paradoxical. The design of the book explores this interplay between flat and folded, between simple and complex, between a single place and the whole universe. Detached sentence fragments are relocated by grooves in the paper—creases that fold (or better: multiplicates) the (thought) space. The whole world suddenly emerges from the book page.
