Dupuis, Christine: Miroirs du Châtelain
This artist book by Christine Dupuis was created in close collaboration with Thorsten Baensch in 2019
to 2021. It features a selection of “preparatory” drawings from notebooks and sketchbooks by Christine Dupuis from 2014-2020. These drawings are working material for her art therapy seminars on “journal créatif” and “pleine conscience”. The book is also a kind of textbook, Christine and her six “invités” (guests) describe
and explain the procedure. Vermeer van Delft, Marcel Proust but also Piero della Francesca are sources of ideas and inspiration for the drawing work of Christine Dupuis. The book is bound by hand and protected by a slipcase decorated with original drawings.
The edition was produced in 5 different colour combinations of cover cloth, endpapers and cover embossing.
Christine Dupuis was born in Charleroi, Belgium in 1946. After studying art, she taught for 30 years in Tournai (BE) at the “école secondaire artistique Saint-Luc”. With Thorsten Baensch she runs the artist project “Kitchen, la cuisine transportable” since 2000.
