Greenfield, Jessica: Farewell to Spring A book about grief, welcoming new love, and understanding human experience through observing the natural world. In July 2023 I attended a month-long residency at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California shortly following the death of my mother. During the long walks each day to and from the studio I began collecting nasturtium flowers and writing about what the plant had to teach me about the cycles and seasons of experience.
