Catugier, Laure: Architecture Is Frozen Music # For over ten years, Catugier has been drawing analogies between music and modern architecture as part of the project *Architecture Is Frozen Music*, collecting photographs taken during residencies around the world (the Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe). In 2020, she published a digital book for Editions Naima, accompanied by variations of book objects that, through their form, invite viewers to engage in perceptual play. Architecture Is Frozen Music# evokes the idea of a musical score, a form of musical notation in which the lines indicate pitch. The book’s structure is loosely inspired by the book “Lines: A Brief History” (Routledge, 2016), in which anthropologist Tim Ingold develops the idea that “a study of people and things is a study of the lines of which they are made.” en., screen print, risography, screenprinted cardboard, 16p, 9.1 x 10.6 inch, Ed. of 100 + 3, num., sign., Berlin, 2023, einBuch.haus Request of availability backnext
